Connect & Progress is een prachtige non-profitorganisatie die net is begonnen aan haar reis om een plek vol wijsheid en verbinding te creëren.
Hun doel is het ontwikkelen van een speels en veilig platform om online cursussen, lezingen en audiovisuele programma’s te delen op sociale media met thema’s als welzijn, cultuur, onderwijs, gezondheidszorg, jeugd- en ouderenzorg, spiritualiteit, economie en samenleving. om mensen met hun roots in het Caribisch gebied te (her)opleiden (in diverse talen) en stimuleren.

De oprichter van Connect & Progress Renate kwam met mij in contact via haar familielid, ze had gehoord van het werk wat ik doe en het stukje bewustzijn en duurzaamheid binnen mijn werk en visie.
Na een middagje samen te hebben geluncht terwijl we wat ideeën op hebben gedaan, ben ik aan de slag gegaan voor een merkidentiteit waar community en het overbrengen van wijsheid een erg belangrijk zal spelen binnen de organisatie.
NEXT
In de zomer van 2022 is Dave begonnen met het organiseren van kruiden wildpluk wandelingen in Den Haag, Westduinpark, waar hij de basis van wildplukken en kruidengeneeskunde deelt aan liefhebbers van over de hele wereld.
Om door de mooiste wandel routes te reizen, om van elkaar te leren en de verbinding met de aarde te voelen.
Dat is wat Dave inspireert om deze wildpluk wandelingen te (blijven) doen.
HILLOW had het genoegen Dave
te vergezellen en de magische momenten van de Medicine Walk vast te leggen.
Dit vond ik zon bijzonder fijne samenwerking en echt een heel intrigrerend project om aan te werken.
Ik heb mijn best gedaan om de onderzoekende dynamiek van de groep, de verwondering, Dave in
zijn natuurlijk habitat als verteller
en guide en de kleine details te fotograferen.

In the Summer of 2022, Dave started with hosting herb foraging walks around The Hague Westduinpark, where he shares his knowledge of foraging and herbal medicine to lovers from all over the world. To wander the most beautiful walking routes, to learn from each other and to feel the connection with mother earth.
This is what inspires Dave to keep sharing these foraging walks.
HILLOW had the pleasure to accompany Dave and capture the magical moments of the Medicine Walk.
I found this collaboration very pleasurable and I was intrigued by the way Dave guided us on the walk
I tried to capture the world of wonders and the dynamic of the group, Dave in his natural habitat as a storyteller and guide alongside the little details.

The palm tree that grows mighty
takes its origin from the tropics
and represents the Caribbean.
The six-pointed star in the sky
symbolizes brotherhood and intellect.
The 3 coconuts (heads) and the branches
of the palm (body) forming humans.
The dots also have a more spiritual translation: The holy trinity (body, mind and spirit) and the base of the tree holds the connection.
Connect & Progress is a beautiful non-profit organization that just started its journey of creating a place full of wisdom and connection.
Their purpose is to develop a playful and safe platform to share online courses, lectures, and audio-visual programs on social media with themes as well-being, culture, education, health care, youth and geriatric care, spirituality, economy, and society in order to (re-) educate (in various languages) and stimulate people with their roots in the Caribbean.
The founder of Connect & Progress Renate came into contact with me through her family member, she had heard about the work I do and the awareness and sustainability within my work and vision.
After having lunch together while we went over some missions, ideas and vision, I started working on a brand identity where community and transferring wisdom will play a very important role within the organization.
